Shahkooh mount tour
Shahkooh is a peack near Isfahan city. It's very popular among the climber because it is just 30 mins drive from the center of the city and can be climbed in at most 5 hours.
Breakfast
We get up early at 5:30, we must be near the mountain and ready to climb at 7:00, we will discuss the safety precautions, and start warming up and selecting clothing. After 1-hour of continuous climbing, we reach a flat sandy area where we can rest and have our breakfast. it must be around 8:20 now.
The trail
After the flat area, there is a footpath to the main part of the mount, a rocky area. this footpath has is a slight slope, if you want to rate the hardness of this slope, you may give 4 out of 10. (if we consider 1 as a normal path with no slope and 10 a very severe slope) which is considered easy (see the image below). this footpath may take 1 hour to be finished. When finished, it must be 10:00.
Rock climbing
We need to go through the rocks and hold on to the steel cables which are already installed there by the officials. It's not a big deal really as you can see in the picture below, as long as you have a normal body readiness and with no acrophobia, there is no danger for us. This rock climbing may take us 40 mins, after that, we stand over the rock and continue our way to the summit, needless of any touching rock or so. now the time is about 10:40.
The peak of Shahkooh
When we're in the peak, we can just take pictures, because it's not flat. after that, in order to have lunch and rest a little bit, we go down to a valley where we see a footpath (different from the one we used to climb up). There around the footpath, we rest and have our lunch. The time is 11:00.
We continue our way along the path for 15 minutes, after that, there is no path, and similar to the place where we came up using cables, we need to do the same thing again for 30 mins. after that we will be in the place where we had breakfast. we rest here, will have a tea, and go back to our cars after descending for another 40 mins. We think it will be 14:00 or 15:00 when we're back home again.
